Proper nail cutting can prevent a host of issues, including ingrown toenails and infections that can significantly impact your mobility and quality of life.
On my visit to your home, I will ensure that nails are cut correctly, taking into account the unique shape and growth patterns of your toenails. I will also give you advice on how to cut your nails.
Corns are caused by friction and pressure and can make the feet feel very uncomfortable if left untreated. Treatment is needed for corns to be pared out gently using a scalpel blade by a trained professional, this process does not cause pain for the client.
Some corns can become quite big, compacting under pressure, other corns are smaller, such as seed corns. Corns are normally found under the foot but they can present on top of the toes or even between them!
Onychomycosis is the infection of the toenail with fungus. This usually affects the big toenails, though it can spread and affect the others. The affected nail may be discolored, thickened, crumbling, lifting off the nail bed, brittle, and sometimes omitting an unpleasant musty odor.
Fungal nail is quite common but is not easy to treat, especially if the infection has become severe. It is best to see a professional for an assessment and advice on a Fungal Nail treatment.

I worked for many years as a Therapist, providing a variety of treatments.
In 2003, I taught Beauty Therapy at the North Devon College, for a short period of time. Then I moved to Southampton, and continued to work as a therapist on a part-time basis.
Over the course of time, I began seeing more clients with foot problems and so began focusing completely on foot care. I am currently studying further to add to my qualifications, to specialize completely in footcare.
I want nothing more than to help my clients to maintain healthy feet, and alleviate pain and keep their mobility.
